Curlin Wins Preakness Stakes!

Although this is not a sporting news service, I cannot help shouting the headline. I feel vindicated after posting my pictures of this crazy fast horse from the Arkansas Derby with the expectation that he would win the Kentucky Derby. It looked like Street Sense had Preakness in the bag after he pulled ahead during the final turn, but then Curlin cranked it up in the final stretch and won by a nose, tying the Preakness Stakes record with a time of 1:53.46. This record was previously set by Louis Quatorze (1966) and Tank’s Prospect (1985). What a race!
